About Me

I am currently an assistant professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department at the University of California Davis. I attended the University of California Berkeley for my undergraduate and received my PhD from Carnegie Mellon University in Engineering and Public Policy.

I am motivated by issues of climate change and this has led my research to focus on the transition to electric vehicles and the new interface between transportation and electric power sectors. My work is highly interdisciplinary, blending engineering, economics, machine learning, and public policy.

When I'm not working, you'll probably find me at the climbing gym (and occasionally on real rock), playing some chess or MTG, or just relaxing with my dog Benji.
